Charly Lowry

Singer and songwriter, Charly Lowry, qualified as a semifinalist amongst the last 32 competitors amongst millions of potential contestants on Season 3 of American Idol. Charly Lowry also formed the group "One Voice" at her alma mater of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a singer and composer she performed with the group throughout the state of North Carolina and in DC receiving huge success. Charly Lowry is now ready to share her talent with the world and hopes all those who choose to listen can find an outlet from their own lives in her music. Born and raised in Robeson County, North Carolina, Charly Lowry has maintained close ties to her Native American roots and culture. It is important to her to express the struggle, sacrifice, and obstacles her people have overcome throughout history. She is a voice for her ancestors as well as the youth of today. Charly represents a mix of today's hip-hop and R&B in combination with a soulful sound unique within itself. Her first single entitled "Brown Skin" represents her as an artist in the truest from. The single is now available and contains the songs "Hold Me" and "I Tried to Love You" as well as a native mix of the single "Brown Skin". Hard at work on her debut album coming this fall, Charly Lowry invites you to her new home of Greensky Records.
