Stag

There are four bands called Stag: 1) A rock band from Manchester, England 2) StaG, a duo from Los Angeles, California; currently based in Boulder, Colorado 3) A power-pop band from Seattle, Washington 4) A four piece from Brisbane,Australia 1) Stag, a three piece rock band from Manchester, England were formed in 2005, although previous collaborations date as far back as 1996 in the incarnations Euthanasia and H8. The line up consists of Rob Clayton, Ollie Jarratt and Rob Owen. A throwback to the earlier Grunge days of Euthanasia with a hint of Heavy Rock (in particular the explosive drumming), Punk-Pop, and a smattering of the earlier Manchester sounds makes for the no-nonsense refreshing Rock & Roll Pop style that the trio employ. The duo make hazy folk pop reminiscent of Fleet Foxes, Beach House and Grizzly Bear with a hint of surf-pop as well. Members are Matt McGuire and Will Walden. They formed in mid 2010 and have recorded an EP. 4) Stag four piece from Brisbane just released a 7" (Get Used To It) DISEMBRAINING RECORDS Oh and a while back there was a two piece doomy black metal band called Stag that played shows in Columbia Missouri and released a record no one ever heard.
