José

José is used by more than one band/artist. 1. José is a Dutch singer (José Hoebee), who had many hits both solo and as part of the Dutch group Luv'. 2. José is an underground Hungarian rapper who's first LP was released in 2009. 3. José is a Danish rock band in the word’s purest sense. The songs are simple, energetic and catchy. José delivers elevating guitar riffs, a groovy organ as well as organic bass and drums. In contrast to the pretty-kitten-rock-chicks of to day, Maria’s outgoing appearance and spicy voice makes the sound stand out. In other words, it’s a power discharge when José hits the stage. José is an up and coming band which has existed for 2 years. The band had its first success in 2005 by winning The Roskilde Festival’s Demo Derby, with “Mini Skirt”. That summer the band moved to Copenhagen in a search for the final constellation of musicians. September 2006 the constellation was complete: Maria José – vocal, Emil Walter – guitar, Heinzz – Organ, Andreas Røeboe – bass and Johan Luth a.k.a. Dr. Fill - drums. October 2006, José recorded the demo “Live in The Bunker”. The demo is recorded 100% live, one take and no overdubbing. “Live in The Bunker” presents 4 tunes which capture José’s energy and musical span. It is José’s live appearance that makes them remarkable. The band has spontaneous and catchy energy that makes your endorphins pump in your veins. And you should not forget your dancing shoes; you’ll need ’em. A live performance by José in 2007 could remind you “PJ Harvey on uppers” vs. Doors organ - with catchy guitar riffs, driven by nuclear bass and drums, which will knock out the baddest mo-fo in the crowd.
