Malik Alary

Malik Alary started his DJing journey in some French provinces, and by the time he was 20 he landed his first big gigs in Paris, alongside Charles Schillings and the Street Corner Symphony. Rex Club and the Queen were his first principal home venues, where he featured on events like Overground House compilation launch. Then he was asked to play in so many other big venues across Paris : Batofar for its after parties, Les Folies Pigalle, La Fabrique and l'Enfer. Then, having decided it was time to try something new in a foreign land, Malik left to conquer the UK and Ireland, made Dublin his second home. Here, he quickly rose in the scene, getting weekly residencies everywhere in big clubs across the British isles, including the famous POD and the Morrison Hotel where he came to develop his ecclectic lounge style. After a couple of years in Dublin, overflowed with musical experiences, Malik decided to go home - back to Paris, this time with a more mature music personality. Upon his return to Paris in 2003, a friend of his, Stéphane Pompougnac invited Malik to play with him in his very own show in the famous Hôtel Costes. This has led Malik to other global invitations, such as St. Petersburg's the Jetset, Bed Supperclub Bangkok and SoHo House in Hollywood for the Academy Awards Ceremony. One of Malik's speciality is his special skill of adapting to various settings, whether the venue is a sunny Marbella beach in Spain with groovy lounge and chill out tunes or if the venue needs deep house cuts, for instance the Nordik Impact Festival in Caen, France. Malik has also engineered several compilations for Hugo Boss in 2005, and now working on his own productions, following his singles "You & Me" and "Mother Fuckers", interesting tracks that have gained attentions from labels such as Sonar Kollektiv, Tru Thoughts and Free Range.
